How to spend a layover in Dubai
Dubai International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world, so if you ever get a layover in Dubai for a few hours, there are plenty of things to do during your stopover depending upon the number of hours you have.
If you wish to spend the time at the airport, there are some world-class restaurants, lounges, and hotels you can visit. There are shopping malls and plenty of duty-free shops where you can buy quality products.
If you want to sightsee, there are taxis and open-top buses that will drive you around the city available at the airport. If you are in Dubai for less than 12 hours, the better option is to rent a car and visit a few places of your choice. Top visited places are:
- The Burj Khalifa-the tallest building in the world standing at 829.8 meters and one of the main tourist attractions in Dubai. It has the world’s largest choreographed fountain switched only after sunset.
- The Jumeirah Mosque- the Mosque is also open to non-Muslims. It is inscribed with beautiful Arabic calligraphy.
