Global Village

Global Village is a premier cultural and family destination in Dubai, offering visitors a bright and welcoming shopping experience at their pavilions representing a different country. Located permanently in Dubailand, it claims to be the world’s largest tourist project and the region's first cultural attraction. It is held along Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), but runs longer than DSF – throughout the winter months from November to April. The open-air carnival atmosphere at Global Village attracts over 6 million visitors every year. Actively participating nations from different continents put up kiosks and pavilions to portray the country’s heritage and offer top art handicrafts, as well as authentic food and beverages. Launched in 1997, Global Village has witnessed major expansions in its lifetime. From hosting 18 country pavilions, the extravaganza now includes a variety of thrilling children rides at Fantasy Island, different world cuisines, genuine handicrafts, awe-inspiring live performances, firework displays and much more. On site facilities also include ATM, information desk, free Wi-Fi, toilets, prayer rooms, clinic and ambulance, police station, lost & found centre to ensure the comfort of the visitors. RTA is responsible for free shuttle service to and from Global Village. These are operated round the clock, especially during peak times when the visitors need to access overflowing parking areas.
